For once i actually paid attention to devotions, but i didn't quite agree with what Mrs. Chan had to say.. She said something like "we must all learn to wait on him. When we suffer we wait for God and that's how we grow stronger" Okay maybe that were'nt the exact words she said. nevertheless, she meant to say that if we christians meet up with problems and troubles, we must sometimes suffer and wait for God, knowing that he sometimes lets us suffer to help us come closer to Him blah blah blah... what rubbish...

God's heart is that of love. Love so strong that no human can comprehend. Love for us, sinners, who deserve not a bit of it. Love in the form of Christ Jesus who died for our sins and transgressions. That's how much he loves us. Just as earthly fathers wouldn't let any harm fall on their children, how much more our heavenly father? Hence it is obvious our sufferings didn't come from God. In fact, he had already taken away all our sufferings and pain and laid them at the grave through Jesus Christ. Hence we Christians should learn to realize that all has been done at the Cross and we need not suffer any form of sufferings anymore, be it health conditions, family problems, school work, financial difficulties etc.. Let us learn to receive all of God's blessings, eventhough we do not deserve them, just as the Son of God received all our sins eventhough He did not deserve them. Let us celebrate God's victory and claim what has been purchased for us and is now rightfully ours. Let us live this life abundantly blessed and highly favoured till a ripe old age of hundred and twenty.
