so on the 10th of jan, michael and robyn organised an outing!
mel, ian tatt, aaron, yx, adeline, simin, and siongluong (and mike and rob) met at bugis, and landed up at purvis street MINDcafe!

hey class!!

how's everyone doing? are we all drowning in the workload of our respective courses (glares pointedly at people not in uni yet.)

as such, i really dont feel comfortable with organsing some dinner, or some fun sporting activity until april 1 (which is the last day of my exams) at least. but i know most people have exams starting in april. so it means, no outing till after april? but that's mighty far away.

i was kinda serious when i mentioned having a mass mugging session on the tagboard. who's up for it? i dont see why we should all be compelled to make small talk whenever we see each other, or 'catch up'. why cant we do things like normal friends would do? i.e. study together and mostly ignore each other until like lunch time or when a question arises. :P

who's up for it? i know i really need to mug. and i will be mugging till april 1. so so? who's interested? no point organising if nobody's interested.

oh, and what can non-uni people do while we're mugging? i dunno? have a sudoku competition. play chess. dota. play music for us. haha.... i cant be doing all the thinking here. i'm not the only person from sc3.

hey all, just like to do a bit of publicity.
i am performing a small item in a music concert organised by a classmate (medicine). varied performances, including sextets, flute quartet, acapella, guzheng, erhu (that guy is DAMN pro), and piano performances. i would be performing in a violin and piano duet.

the concert would probably be around three hours. and only costs $6. it's damn cheap. and it's damn worth it. excluding me, the people performing are all like at least diploma standard people. all damn pro one. except me. but yeah.

wanna come? i could help you all get tickets, then you all can collect at the door. only got 200 seats. at YMS (young musicians' society) at waterloo street. this saturday the 22nd of sept. 6pm.

Hi Guys,

Have u ever had the experience of dining in an indian restaurant?? here is an excellent opportunity to mesmerise yourself in the bollywood music and have a delicious lunch....
my suggestion is the Komalas Restaurant(only veg) near Little India MRT. thsi is a vegetarian retsaurant. here is the link of their website: http://www.komalasweb.com
they have provided the food menu so that u can preplan what to eat. For the health conscious people, there is a section on food and facts that tells u the nutrional information. this place is also has a conducive environment. i am a little afraid that it might be crowded on saturdays.
My another suggestion is The Banana Leaf Apollo near the Littele india MRT too. They have the succulent non-veg dishes and also the indian dishes. the envionment is very conducive for a class gathering. unfortunately they do not have the food menu online.
don't worry about the cost. it is a definitely cheaper. For at most $15, a person can have a full meal at Komalas and even the Banana leaf Apollo.

can i explain my poor sandwich idea? the bread and fillings are supposed to be prepared separately. so that we can choose the combination for our own sandwich/croissant

how about the chicken wings and nuggets? or besides the macaroni that robyn will be bringing, any other carbo suggestions?
also still need plates, and fork and spoons.
joyce will be bringing a mat, but i think joyce's mat will not be big enough for the 14 or so people coming. so more volunteers?
joyce has been very encouraged by the volunteering of food! yay... we wont starve! :D

all ye who hath church on the 7th of may 2006, and who wisheth to attendeth, and also wisheth to come to the hippest class gathering in town ( :P), please let me know like when you church ends so can arrange the best timing yeah?

what i know about your status:

adeline is coming and is bringing sausages and ham and cheese and bread. she'll try to get croissants. SO, IF anyone can get croissants, or wishes to do so, please let adeline know, well and tag as well!

robyn, mel and ian and pte hsusie go to the same church service fullstop. church ends at 12pm for them. so can make it by 12.30ish for sure. :)

mel is bringing sparkling grape juice.
robyn is bringing cold macaroni salad.

siminhow both can come.
joon and piyo both can come.

karen will come. dont know about her church also. update!

PTE hsusie can make it and has even invited us to his place for post gathering gathering. and he will provide DRINKS! and cups and ice!

yuen ting might have to work. if she can make it, she said that she can get all the food we havent gotten yet.

yixiang cannot make it the whole weekend. for reasons he did not disclose. expresses disappointment. suggested the vesak day weekend.

stephanie quek sh cannot make it the whole weekend too, due to family commitments.

shalini no response. is she in india? seriously not being racist.

ang weizhe and james and ian no response, supposedly will get back from outfield by saturday, so supposedly should be able to make it for gathering on sunday.

everybody else not mentioned here has not been contacted yet! repeat: not contacted yet. reason:joyce does not have their handphone numbers. thus, all ye who hath their numbers and who wishes to set eyes on them, please informeth them. if thou durst not wish to spend money smsing them, sms their numbers to me, and i shall mass sms them as well. joyce's phone seems to have randomly deleted numbers i kid you not. i no longer have anybody's number who's name starts with 'p'.

oh and joyce's status: i could make fruit salad! :) i will not include papaya. well i could if you guys want it. cos i dont. i'll put it in a separate container so as not to contaminate the taste :P there will not be durian. may have:grapes guava pear apple dragon fruit. any others? got the fruits already! will bring some ice as well, need at least some one else to bring ice too!

i dont know la... feel it might not be fair to just delegate stuff cos different things cost more than others, and some things more troublesome than others also. so i'm lost as to what to do. how?
